3 PRO
PowerCAD SiteMaster Pro 3 has the most comprehensive functionality
in comparison to the Express and Classic versions.
The layer management is enhanced in a way that it also supports
the combination of several floor plans in one file.
Heights can be recorded and exported for rooms, openings and symbols.
Lasered distances can be recorded in the background. They are safed
on an extra layer for proofing purposes.
The Camera function allows to inserting icon-referenced inspection
photos and images.
PowerCAD SiteMaster Pro 3 contains an Image function for direct
insertion and scaling of photos and image underlays with support
for BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF and RLC digital photos/images.
The Visual Symbol Manager lets you insert symbols as-measured,
referenced or free in the drawing.
You can easily export Excel-compatible csv files with room/area
lists and room schedule reports/symbol lists.
For »power« users the limitless program customization
and extension using visual Desktop, Menu and toolbar Editor (DME2)
and Lisp and/or C++ programming APIs (separate downloads required).

PowerCAD SiteMaster Classic 3 has more functions than the Express
version but less than PowerCAD SiteMaster Pro 3.
PowerCAD SiteMaster Classic 3 offers you more than 200 CAD functions
and many edit commands.
It gives you many handy ways to create walls – even double
line walls –, windows, doors, openings and symbols. You can
measure and draw rectangular and circular columns, recesses, chimneys
and niches/ductes.
You can use the EnterPoint dialog for precise entry of coordinates
and angle/distance values.
AutoCAD-compatible drawing symbols/blocks can be used.
The Check Distance function lets you compare »as-built«
distances to plan distances and record this comparison.

3 Express
PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 aimes at the professional who needs
fast and exact results through an extremeley easy to use surveying
solution. This version requires virtually no learning – if
you can sketch a room you can also measure and draw it with PowerCAD
SiteMaster Express 3.
From your laser measurements PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 will
draw (wall) lines and add dimensions to these lines. You can measure
and draw rectangular rooms as well as rooms with non-rectangular
walls (triangulation). You can add text information and VoiceNotes
to your plan, sketch lines to markup (redlining) and calculate room
areas.
You can export your drawings in standard CAD formats: FLX, DWG,
DXF and DWF. This way your plans can enter the big CAD world. The
core of all three PowerCAD SiteMaster versions is the AutoCAD compatible
CAD package PowerCAD Pro 6. PowerCAD SiteMaster Express 3 is only
available for the mobile operating system Windows CE. It can be
used on Pocket PCs, Windows CE Tablet PCs and other devices running
Windows CE.

Example..... first, a measured survey
comparison
Assuming that many projects involve extensions, or existing
buildings :-
1) 2 technicians, using a laser based measuring tool or a tape,
take measurements on-site, drawing the building by hand, on a pad,
with a pencil.
2) Back at the office these hand drawn sketches have to be transfered
onto the CAD system by the CAD operator
Normally if it takes 1 day to measure a property then it will
take 1 day to draw it, back at the office.
Compare it to what can be achieved now :-
1) A technician takes measurements on-site, - the intelligent
Sitemaster 3 Survey System converts these measurements into a completed
DWG AutoCAD drawing.
The drawing is done ON SITE
Thats it ! - The building is measured, drawn and e-mailed back to
the office in one process.
From - Disto to Drawing - using the capabilities of the Flybook
or a PDA Phone, the drawings can be emailed back to the office FROM
SITE!

Example.... Start from scratch...
Sitemaster has been designed with this as its initial aim.
Walk into a building and get measuring... feed the dimensions
and direction into Sitemaster from the Disto via Bluetooth and your
drawing !!!.... keep measuring...keep drawing.
Position doors into walls as you normally would, measuring from
the nearest corner, work through Sitemasters dialogue box's for
the relevant dimensions and it draws in the detail of the door with
the swing and breaking the wall and drawing the wall thickness and
the frame and also in the PRO version adding all the attributes
of the door opening as exportable text. (see samples below) Place
all other objects in a similar manner ... windows, openings, radiators,
niches, chimney breasts where necessary Sitemaster has easy to use
dialogue box's to make the job as easy and as efficient as possible.
When you're done, save the drawing in Sitemasters native .flx
format or as a dxf or a dwg( also dwf and wmf available).

Load the drawing onto the Flybook or PDA... take it to site...
use Sitemaster 3 to check the actual measurements against the CAD
measurements.

drawing and editting tools)

Measurements can be done using the Lazer measuring device or
input manually... the direction drawn is done using Sitemaster
Any angle can be drawn with Sitemaster as it has specialized
Triangulation commands that allow measurements to be taken from
ANY 2 points to a third point again this is usually done using the
Lazer measuring device for ultimate accuracy.
Adding door and window details.....
is done through dialogue box's....
2 Dialogue box's and you get door, swing, opening, frame (Classic
version pictured)
Example data collection.....
In the Sitemaster PRO version you also enter the doors height
and also have the option to place text attribute information for
the door details, a comment option, which room it is assigned to
and the door number is done automatically. All this data can be
lifted from the drawing and exported in an Excel CSV format. This
is also true for Windows, Radiators, Symbols, Room data..... see
below

Above shows Sitemaster PRO's capability to quickly
switch on and off the relevant symbol data fields. The Symbol number
and text for both the desk and chair have been switched off and
the text for the door has been switched off.
