Cavity
walls can be drawn to preset parameters which are adjustable
while drawing. The walls can be closed automatically if required.
Windows,
doors and external openings are drawn parametrically and
inserted into walls by picking the outer and inner wall faces
and by selecting an insertion point or displacement from a chosen
reference point. |
Internal
doors are drawn parametrically and inserted into double
line partition walls either centrally or to one side. The door
sizes and swings can be adjusted during insertion.
Tee-ing
walls into each other is acheived with just a few clicks of
the walls.
Trimming
lines to inside or outside boundaries is automated.
Patch
editing combines joining and erasing operations and allows openings
to be removed and walls repaired automatically, so alterations
can be made to plans or elevations quickly and seamlessly without
laborious editing. |
Align
Part is a new way of inserting parts. During insertion a
reference line such as a wall face or floor line is selected
and the part is effectively locked on to the line. This allowsg
the part to be manipulated easily after insertion and mirrored,
scaled or moved as often as required until it is correctly placed. |
Align
is used to manipulate objects within the drawing.
Bill
of Materials commands can be used to label components and
parts which can then be tabulated and exported to a database.
Draw
Table and generate schedules and sorted lists from the Bill
of Materials labels.
Partition
simplifies drawing partitions and hatching walls with scaleable
hatching or the other available fill styles.
Stairs
generates flights of timber or concrete stairs to preset parameters.

Project
and Vertical Projection are used for transferring plan
co-ordinates to elevations.
Roof
Truss draws attic and fink roof truss profiles to preset
parameters.
Cut
In trims lines to a selection box which can optionally be
outlined.
Cut
Out erases entities and trims lines outside a selection
box which can optionally be outlined.
Subdivide
marks out repetitive elements within a pair of boundary lines.
Distance
/ Direction is a method of drawing lines using separately
entered length and bearing values.

entered bearing and length values.
Triangulation
is used for drawing measured survey lines.
Isoline
provides a means of drawing lines with the aid of a cursor which
snaps to 0/30/60/90/120 or 150 degrees.
Isocircle
draws a left, top or right isometric projection of a circle.
Freehand
draws a series of points or lines following the movement of
the cursor.
Linear
Array makes multiple copies arranged in a straight line.

Portal
Frame draws a steel portal frame profile using the parameters
in the dialog box which is displayed.
| |
Measure
Areas calculates the areas of selected entities, labels
them, then draws a table listing their areas and the total area.
| |
As
an alternative to using numerous individual templates for scales
and sheet sizes the menu has a Page Setup utility which
allows the user to start by selecting a drawing scale then when
prompted, a sheet size and drawing name. When the chosen title
box is inserted it then automatically scaled to match. |
| |
A
number of Layer Sets of current and visible layers are
included on the menu to allow for quick switching between building
and drawing elements.
